tabby — tab splitting
Split the tab

Split the tab before you leave the table.

Snap the receipt, everyone taps what they had, and Tabby works out exactly who owes what — tax and tip and all. No spreadsheets, no “what did I get,” no chasing people for a week.

Why I made this

My friends and I love going out — long dinners, a few drinks, the works. The part nobody loves is settling up.

One person floats the whole bill, and then it drags on for days: screenshots of the receipt, “wait, what did I order,” a stack of Venmo requests no one sends because nobody wants to do the math.

So I built Tabby. Now we sort the whole thing before we’ve left the table — and we’re back to just enjoying dinner.

— Mackenzie, founder

How it works

Three taps, done at the table.

1

Snap the receipt

Take one photo. Tabby reads the items, the tax, and the tip so you don’t have to type a thing.

2

Everyone taps what they had

Share a link. Each person claims their items in seconds — shared plates split evenly across the table.

3

Settle up on the spot

Tabby does the math and shows exactly what each person owes whoever paid. Mark it paid and you’re done.

What you get

Everything, nothing you don’t.

No passwords

Sign in with a magic link. New friends are on the tab in seconds.

Reads the receipt

Snap a photo and the items, tax, and tip fill themselves in.

Splits shared plates

Table wine and shared apps divide evenly, automatically.

Tracks who’s paid

See who’s settled and who still owes — no awkward reminders.

Running balances

Every friend, every tab, netted down to one simple number.

Works on any phone

Add it to your home screen. No app store, no download.

Pricing

Free. Seriously.

Tabby is free for you and everyone at the table. No card, no per-split fee, no catch — just a tab that splits itself.
